Christmas – What gift will you bring?
Saturday December 3 – 2:00-5:00 pm
Final workshop for 2011!
THE HOLINESS OF CHRISTMAS
Christmas is holy only if you come
In silence to the manger, to behold
Your holiness made visible to you.
Your gifts are but your open hands, made clean
Of grasping. Nothing else you lay before
The newly-born except your doubts and fears,
Your pale illusions and your sickly pride,
Your hidden venom and your little love,
Your meager treasures and unfaithfulness
To all the gifts that God has given you.
Here at the altar lay all this aside
To let the door to Heaven open wide
And hear the angels sing of peace on earth,
For Christmas is the time of your rebirth.Helen Schucman – The Gifts of God
Discussion around some the the Christmas passages of the Course and the poems of Helen.
To be held in Coburg, Melbourne, Australia.
Structured as an informal discussion, more workshop than lecture. The sessions are not introductory and are intended for those who are committed to following the spiritual path set forth in the Course. Attendees will be expected to have some familiarity with the principles set out in the Course and have begun or completed the Workbook.
There is no cost but a contribution to afternoon tea would not be rejected.
Due to the workshop like nature of the discussions, places will be limited and so bookings are essential.
Please contact Linda or James on 9386 2516 to reserve your place.
All sessions are from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

thanks for the xmas message. it is not disimilar to the words i endeavour to express at the beginning of each day and which are based upon an extract from the com text. perhaps the last three lines say it all and i take this opportunity to share them with you on the birth of this new year: a year predictably of great change.
simply do this
be still
and lay aside all thoughts of what i am
and what God is
all concepts i have learned about the world
all images i hold about myself
empty my mind of everything it thinks is is either true or false
or good or bad
of evey thought it judges worthy
and all i deas of which it is ashamed
hold on to nothing
do not bring with me one thought the past has thought
nor one belief i have ever learned before about anything
forget this world
forget this course
and come with wholly empty hands unto my God.
