Mailing List Archives

(1995 – 2002)

Due to the increase in the number of requests to edit the digests of comments made in the past, I have decided to remove the links to the digest pages from this site, as well as slowly remove them from the various search engine caches. This will, I hope, prevent fututre caching or indexing of these files.

If you do wish to access the digests, simply drop me an e-mail and I will send the URL.

There were three discussion and one distribution ACIMâ„¢ mailing lists that operated, first from La Trobe University (1994-1997) and then from The University of Melbourne (1997-1999) and finally from the Miracle Studies site (2000-2002). These lists were orininally called “acim…” but were renamed “cim”, “cimwkbk” and “cimlessons” at the request of the owner of the registered mark ACIMâ„¢ (4 Aug 1999) These lists ceased to operate out of the University of Melbourne at the end of December, 1999.

A brief look at the Yahoo groups identified with the Course reveals some 20 or so discussion lists functioning.

The first discussion list was cim@artsit.unimelb.edu.au and is simply concerned with discussion relating to A Course In Miracles. The digests of these discussions are held here both from 1995 until 1999. The current files vary in size considerable as they were automatically compiled by the listserver software each day at around 8:00 PM, Australian time.

The second discussion list was called cimwkbk@artsit.unimelb.edu.au and this was concerned with discussion about the workbook, in particular doing the exercises and help in interpreting them. This list also recieved daily lesson commentaries from Allen Watson of the Circle of Atonement, (see below). Digests for the discussion items posted to the list were also kept. From 1998 the digests archived here are those automatically generated by the software minus the lesson commentary. Digests before 1998 were compiled by me

lessons
The third list, a distribution list only, was cimlessons@artsit.unimelb.edu.au. This was different from the previous two lists in that it was a distribution only list. A copy of Allen’s commentary on the daily lesson, with an additional note from Robert Perry (also from the Circle) was posted here.
